We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff.
The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is made up of practice staff and patients that are representative of the practice population. The main aim of the PPG is to ensure that patients are involved in decisions about the range and quality of services provided and, over time, commissioned by the practice.
Western Avenue Surgery Patients Participation Group is now a well established group where patients, members of the medical staff and the Practice Manager are able to meet to discuss matters relating to the surgery.
If you wish to become a member, contact our Practice Manager, Surjeet Panesar, who can provide you with further information about membership.
Meetings and Events
The Forum meetings are arranged by our PPG steering group. The group consists of 10 active members from the patient population and we meet approx twice a year dedicating an evening to focus on practice development and discuss areas of improvement.

Primary Care Networks (PCNs) are a key part of the NHS Long Term Plan, with general practices being a part of a network, typically covering 30,000-50,000 patients. The networks will provide the structure and funding for services to be developed locally, in response to the needs of the patients they serve.
